“Let's Get Physical: The information Derived from Examination of Works of Art”
Please join us in welcoming Wynne Phelan to campus on Friday, October 21. Wynne is the Director of Conservation for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She will be visiting with her husband John (College of Liberal Arts graduate in History). Wynne will be speaking about her career in Art Conservation in David Parrish’s Art History Methods course in the morning.
In the afternoon, Wynne will also be giving a talk that is open to all students and faculty and the general public. She will be reviewing artworks from the permanent collection of Purdue Galleries, to talk about what it would take to preserve or restore various types of works of art. Wynne is planning an engaging and interactive experience for all those that can attend. The afternoon session will be in the Art Education Classroom in Yue-Kong Pao Hall, Room 2167 at 2:00 pm.
Hope you can join us!
